DOC update.

Besides the usual spring weather related issues, the following are of interest.

· The Waingongoro Swingbridge (on the Waingongoro Track) is closed for replacement. An exact opening date is yet to be determined - and reliant on weather conditions. Track detours are marked. For updated information contact the North Egmont Visitor Centre.

· Pouakai Circuit: New structures have been installed along the Kaiauai Track

· The Stony River fine weather route from the Kapoaiaia Track junction downstream is not advisable during spring, due to erosion.

· The Waiwhakaiho Track has reopened.

· Stony River Walkway in Okato: The farmland section of this track is closed. The short section of track from Hickford Place across the swingbridge to Okato Domain is open (return the same way).

· Whitecliffs Walkway: This walkway closes from 1 July to 30 September for lambing. The Te Horo Stock Tunnel remains closed. A section of Clifton Rd (at the Tongaparutu end of the walkway) is closed due to erosion. Walking access to the area is open but visitors are advised to keep away from the eroded bank edge.

· Everett Park: Foot access only. Vehicle access to the park is closed until further notice.
